Wonderspun is the only game studio in the UK focusing on boosting children's literacy through reading games that come to life as thrilling immersive experiences. Reading for pleasure is the most important indicator of a child's future success, greater than parents' education or income, but reading is on the decline. The conservative and book-focused children's publishing industry is being slow to respond. Our mission is to innovate new reading formats that blend text with gaming and immersive video. We have piloted a digital prototype of our award-winning debut game, Storyhaven, in schools and public libraries and now want to build it into a market-ready boxed game that can be sold through children's bookshops with the immersive video content extendable into live performance events at children's theatres and book festivals to drive sales.
