Digital Direct Lost Wax: _Historic hand processes, delicately preserved in bronze_ The project will allow Rachel Carter to collaborate with a specialist foundry to push the boundaries of craft bronze casting . Rachel Carter will be combining historic textile techniques with new digital technologies to produce small scale sculptures and open up new markets for her designs by making them more affordable and accessible - including to overseas customers. The use of new sustainable materials will also be explored, as will the scalability of the innovations developed with the help of the funding.
