India-UK joint project on “MULTI-CONDITION ROBUST BIOMASS GASIFIER FOR POWER GENERATION” facilitates to overcome many of the limitations of the conventional combustion systems with highest efficiency which converts solid fuels into a clean tar-free gas that can be used both for thermal energy and power generation. This project elucidates on the voyage of an innovative design, development and performance studies of multi-condition acceptability and flexible operatability on very high temperature tar-free biomass gasifier. The designed gasifier can be operated on multi-fuel condition which can be scaled up and implemented to suit the requirements of an Industrial energy demand which will have wide ranging application in the industries of both the countries. The results from the investigations will be developed for specialised applications in all-scale industrial sectors around the globe which will enhance the performance of cooling, cleaning and filtering systems of the power mode operation. The clean gas which is generated will result in energy efficient operation of the gas engine for the power generation.
