A creative human centred design R&D to respond to isolation and separation issues in care and hospital settings. In response to visit limitations which were highlighted as a challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic, WithYou is a free digital service being designed with isolated patients and care home residents, enabling their friends and family to collaborate on a playlist of voicenotes and music which is sent to the hospital or home. WithYou enables a key contact to collect voice messages and songs, and send them in one simple digital audio album for patients to hear at their bedside. [https://www.withyou.org.uk][0] The service aims to support: * Patients by giving them company, love and support in their time of need * Friends and family networks by relieving the burden and strain of being estranged during a difficult time * Nurses and care staff by providing a time saving solution, and quality palliative care The need for this digital solution has been verified by our partners AbbeyField - Jim Gillespie House, Oxford University Hospitals, North Bristol NHS Trust, Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Whittington Health NHS Trust who are already overstretched to provide quality palliative care whilst visitor restrictions are in place and for the patient's friends & family to connect with and support their loved ones throughout their treatment. WithYou has been shortlisted for Most Innovative Pilot at this year's Health Tech Awards and is currently being developed at Oxford University Hospitals, Abbeyfield Care Homes, North Bristol NHS Trust, Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Whittington Health NHS Trust, with over 400 messages being sent to users across 16 wards and a care home._‍_ The project is led by the South West's award winning producers, socially engaged practitioners and Community Interest Company [Trigger][1].
