GeeLearn Ltd. has received an innovation voucher to work with Dr. Karl Warner, a lecturer in strategy and international business, to develop an online, cutting-edge course on biodesign innovation, focused on medical devices and imaging. This continuing professional development course series will have a "freemium" model with a MOOC front and a series of paid models behind it for elearners who want to dig in and pursue opportunities in medical innovation. Learners will work in teams comprised of engineers, designers, medics and business experts to identify problems and opportunities and develop solutions. Intellectual property protection will be learned and carried out as well as business planning. International strategies will be developed for the licensing and creation of new ventures. We intend to partner with universities in the UK and internationally, as well as the NHS, in building and distributing this online course series.
